History Camp: Rebels, Redcoats and Revolution

Dates: July 12-16, 8:30am-4:00pm
Cost: $165 for members; $175 for non-members
Eligibility: Grades 4-6

Explore the American Revolution and Lancaster's ties to the founding of our nation in this weeklong day camp! Campers will experience history through interactive activities and day trips to nationally-recognized historic sites. Visit places such as Washington Crossing, Independence Hall, Brandywine Battlefield, Valley Forge National Park and more! Don’t miss out on this action-packed adventure through the birth of our nation!

The Printer's Apprentice Camp

Dates: July 19-22, 9:00am-12:00pm
Cost: $95 for members; $100 for non-members
Eligibility: Grades 7-9

Experience life as a printer’s apprentice! Learn about printing in the era before computers by exploring the workings of an early 20th-century print shop right here in downtown Lancaster! Working with our printers, campers will create their own materials as they gain knowledge about the process of printing from making paper to setting type and the operation of human-powered printing presses. Join us and experience one of the most important advancements in history!

Johnny Reb and Billy Yank: The Civil War in Pennsylvania

Dates: July 26-30, 8:30am-4:00pm
Cost: $165 for members; $175 for non-members
Eligibility: Grades 7-8

Experience the role that Pennsylvania played in the most tumultous time in American history. Explore the Civil War from the point of view of the soilders, slaves, civilians, and politicians who lived it. History comes alive during this weeklong day camp as participants visit destinations like Harper's Ferry, Antietam Battlefield, the National Civil War Museum, Gettysburg, and more.
